Search Engine Tips
This type of search will find pages from .edu's, .gov's and .org's which can provide useful information and minimize the number of commercial results:
-.com

If you want to focus on a specific type of site, say, government agencies, you can add .gov without quotation marks to your search string.
ex: space astronaut .gov
To refine results or to include certain key words in a specific order use quotation marks:
ex: "small cell cancer"
To find only current information simply add the year to your search string.

ex: "fall festival" 2003
Use the + symbol to find an assortment of words that might not be listed together.

ex: +heater +ceramic +"remote control"
There are lots of examples on the web for getting better search results. Use a search engine to learn even more about online searches.
