Do most people believe that the internet is the best source for reliable information?

According to the third annual nationwide survey on the Internet from the University of California at Los Angeles, about 61 percent find the Net "very" or "extremely" important as an information source. However, 61 percent also consider books and newspapers as "very" or "extremely" important

By comparison, just half of those surveyed find television important, 40 percent rely on radio and 29 percent look to magazines.

Another recent study concluded that U.S. Internet users consider the Internet at least as important as other media, yet they don't necessarily trust what they find online. [AP]
